Alyssa hails from Long Island, NY. She attended a liberal arts college in Springfield, MA to originally pursue law but took interest in college radio in which she ran the station for approximately three years as Program Manager.
In her second year, she successfully brought her college radio station to an online medium. She made WNEK 105.1FM have a global presence on the internet, on Itunes and Iphones(coverage map available upon request) but also received a large audience on blogtv for her show "Lyss's Lair". Her success with the station led to the revival of college TV station: GBTV, which was modeled after how WNEK had run under her supervision in 2010.
She has interviewed upcoming artists, written music journalism/industry related articles for the Long Island Herald and Daily Rind (see Work page for links to said articles). She was also selected as a finalist out of 50,000 candidates to produce a sizzle reel for Mario Batali (available on Work page).
After graduating early from college as Summa Cum Laude, She has pursued her career in radio.
She currently works for SiriusXM - coordinating multiple projects for the company including MySXM and helping maintain 1stwave. She can also be found behind the scenes LIVE with Cousin Brucie and other live broadcasts.
Alyssa has served as a part time operations consultant for Backbone Radio Network software and was even recently offered a adjunct professor position.
Alyssa maintains perseverance as she continues to pursue her dream in the media field (programming/production and eventual management.)
